You will be picked up in Dar es Salaam, then driven to Nyerere National park, which takes approximately five to six hours with lunch on the way. Upon arrival, check in at Lodge/Camp. In the evening, go for an evening boat safari through the Rufiji River.

You start a day early in the morning with boat trip to lake siwandu where your driver guide will pick you and continue with game drive in a specially modified safari vehicle with a professional guide, in which you should see and learn much about a large number of animals, including all the great favorites, lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, and all the other major species including the rare African hunting dog.
There will also be a great variety of bird species with wonderful scenery and varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with long views of far-off mountains. Enjoy your packed lunch and time to rest.

While camping, you will have the unique opportunity to enjoy untamed nature right from your tent location. For example, you can watch the elephants approach the river to drink or a group of impalas or zebras passing by and curiously watching you. Since we normally camp on the banks of the rivers and lakes, you will have the opportunity to observe the constant movement of exciting and diverse birdlife, as we normally camp on the lakes, rivers, water holes, or river bed shore and always prime areas of the parks/ reserves.
In the evening appreciate the spectacular sunset while you enjoy the local beers and look forward to sleeping under the star-filled sky with nature’s sounds all around you.

Guarantee all game drive starts in the early morning in the afternoon break and again in the evening. Our camps are always in prime areas and game drives are done in prime times. (you will never get this if you stay in any lodge or hotel).
